The phase that comes after preparing physically, mentally, and spiritually for community immersion is the one where participants actively engage with the community. This phase is centered around entering the community, where individuals put their preparations into practice through direct interaction and involvement with community members.

In this phase, participants are expected to apply the knowledge and skills they've acquired during their preparation, fostering meaningful interactions that can lead to mutual understanding and learning. Effectively entering the community allows participants to experience firsthand the realities the community faces, thus deepening their understanding of social issues and enhancing their commitment to service.

The evaluation phase and reflection phase, while important components of the overall experience, occur at different stages in the process, typically following the immersion itself. These phases focus on assessing experiences and personal growth, rather than the actual entering and participating in community activities. The post-immersion phase is focused on what comes after the immersion, including integration of the experiences gained and further reflection on the impact of the service.
